Results of the Work — January 30

Hey Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Thanks for your prayers today I had a couple of good conversations and Kristin Prayed to receive Jesus a her savior. She’s African American cute little athletic girl in sweats. She didn’t know how God took away her sins but then the story of salvation seemed a bit familiar to her as I explained the Gospel to her. I asked her if she had ever asked God to forgive her sins because of what Jesus had done for her on the cross and she said no. So I invited her to do so and showed her a prayer to receive him, believing He was God and had died for her sins and thank Him for His forgiveness. She said after she prayed to receive Christ that she had known a little but she had never committed to Christ b4. She said her Church had not taught her the gospel and she didn’t get anything out of it but I encouraged her to pray that God would show her more every time the Bible was read in Church. She took The Case for Faith from me and I gave her a Bible study, invited her to ours and got her e-mail to send her stuff. She thinks she might be able to make Bible study.

I had a several other interesting discussions with a girl in recovery and encouraged some other Christians.

Thanks for your prayers and for coming along if you had the chance.

In Him,
Bob

Hey Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

Hope ya had a great day.  Things went pretty well on campus today I had some good conversations.  Nika came to Christ.  She is african American and was standing at the entrance way of the SRC building waiting for a bus.  Standing because for some reason they took all the benches out of the area.  Not part of the master plan or someone wanted them somewhere else who knows.  So I asked her if she would do a survey about God and she said she would while she kept one eye out for the Bus outside.  I didn’t  now how her ride would come at first so I just prayed it would be late enough for me to get through the gospel.  I asked her what one thing was she would like to do b4 she died and she said, “Get closer to God.”  I assume God heard her, knew this and sent me along guided by prayers.  She thought she was going to heaven because she was a nice person.  When the bus right b4 hers came she got nervous she would miss it from being distracted by what I was saying so I said let’s stand outside so we did and she prayed to receive Jesus.   More than a Carpenter  fit right in her clutch sized purse and I gave her a Bible Study to read.  IN moments her Bus rolled up and I watched her get on.

I had a good conversation with a couple others, a Catholic guy Mason was close and I encouraged him.  Mari [short for Marianna] had been an atheist since she was 10 when her parents divorced.  I really felt for her and tried to extend some love her way.  She took a copy of the student edition of The Case for Faith from me saying as she selected a book, ‘It’s shorter.”  Which I hope means she’ll read it and God will speak to her through it.  Had some other good conversations, thanks for your prayers.  I feel blessed to have a ministry to do and really am grateful people are willing to pray so that it accomplishes His work in hearts.

In His Love,
