Hey Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

I hope your day was blessed looking not at the things, which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. Emmanuel prayed to receive Christ today, is responses are below if you want to spend the time. He was very appreciative please pray he grows in faith and his love for God in Christ. I had a couple other good conversations encouraging Christians in the faith.

 Emmanuel was sitting in the hallway that runs along the Student services center on the ground floor just down the hall from Starbucks. He had a motorcycle helmet on the seat beside him. He wore black-rimmed semi round glasses and a black hoodie with black pants. He had a wide smile looked Latino in coloring and had the brown hair of said same, an inch and a half goatee under his chin and a solid mustache. His cheeks dimpled when he smiled. He was one of 3 people today who said they wanted to “sky dive” as something to do before they died. I asked, “You’re walking down the road and you get hit by a bus. So you’re dead. And you stand before God and He says, ‘Why should I let you into Heaven?’ What would you say?” He said, “I believed in You even at hard times.” He said he thought he had a “Pretty good,” chance of going to heaven, and guessed 90%. He said he went to a “Christian Church”. I began to go through the Gospel with him and said God wanted to live inside him to give him eternal life. He could not be in the same place as sin, so He takes away our sin. I asked what Jesus had done back in History to take away the sins of the world. “He forgives?” he said uncertainly. I said, “This is what He does to forgive you.” I began then explain all I usually do about the blood and righteousness of Christ who lived the perfect life we could not and was a payment to God fulfilling the prophecy of Isa. 61:10 as we read in Gal. 3:27. He listened attentively to the entire Gospel. I said he needed to receive Jesus, to believe He is God had died for his sins and rose from the dead. This was faith & faith saved him. I asked if he would want to be forgiven for his sins. He nodded. I said if he wanted to be forgiven there was a prayer he could pray and talked him through it asking if it was the desire of his heart. He nodded. I said he could pray it silently, “Wanna do that?” He nodded again more assertively, so three times but each time a bit differently. He took the booklet and prayed then to receive Jesus. I told him that the likelihood he would now go to Heaven was 100% trusting in the blood and righteousness of Jesus that was of infinite value. I began to go through the Christian life with him. He said he had a Bible on his phone so I asked if he would want a physical Bible. He did so I went on to explain living by the Spirit’s power and then I gave him one explaining the study helps in it. I said Christianity was inside out, not outside in. I told him I would pray a Bible verse for him each day from now until Spring and one year after asking God to bless him. I gave him Bible Promises for You and showed him how he could turn the contents of a verse into a prayer. I gave him a Bible study too and The Case for Christ Answer Booklet he was grateful. “Appreciate you, thanks for all this,” he said. I said he was welcome and he again said, “Appreciate you.” I talked to him about his motorcycle and then headed off.
