Hey Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I hope your day was blessed today and you found shelter in Christ for the storms of life. I was sick Monday (some stomachache thing that keeps coming back) but I had a good day on campus Tuesday and Gabi prayed to receive Jesus. Her story is below. Please pray she can grow in Christ.

Gabi was sitting at the counter in the cafeteria. She has blue eyes and dishwater blonde hair, pulled back behind her head and was wearing grey, black and light brown, plaid pants and a matching shirt. Looked kind of dressed up. She had a red and black tie with paisleys on it tied around her neck scarf style. Her chin came to kind of a button and she had full cheeks.  I asked if she wanted to do a student survey for a Bible study group. She said she was already attending a Bible Study. When students tell me that I ask them the name of it and ask if they want to hear the big metaphysical question to think about through the day. I do this because as near as I can tell the Bible Studies at school do not teach students the Gospel, so if they are not Christians when they arrive God has them bump into me because many come to Christ. I did that and she said she went to one called “Christians on Campus”. She was up for hearing the question so I asked, “You’re walking down the road and you get hit by a bus, so you’re dead and you stand before God and He asks, ‘Why should I let you into Heaven?’ What would you say?” “He shouldn’t,” she replied. Is there a “But” in there after that somewhere?” I asked. She could not think of any qualifiers saying something like, “Not really” so I asked if she’d like to hear the Bible verses that explained how you get to heaven suggesting she could share it with someone. She was up with for it so I began going through the Gospel with her. I asked her what Jesus had done to take away her sins and she thought a second but knew He had died. I explained the Gospel to her then. The blood that cleansed her, which was the way God was paid, and the righteousness of God Christ earned. God wanted to adopt her and give her all these blessing by faith. I asked her if she’d want to be forgiven or thought something else and she said with a tone that it was rather obvious, “I’d be forgiven.” So I said there was a prayer she could pray and when I explained it I asked if it expressed the desire of her heart, she nodded and I said she could pray it silently. “I wouldn’t hear you but God would hear and you’d know you were forgiven trusting in Jesus, wanna do it?” She nodded again so I said, “Just pretend I’m not here.” She prayed to receive Jesus. I told her I would pray each day praying a Bible for her through Spring and one year after. I gave her Bible Promises for You writing her name and the date and “forgiven!” in the front and I gave her The Case for Easter which she seemed to really like. I gave her a Bible Study dramatizing it a bit for her and said I’d see her in Heaven, I was sure to get there first being old. “You never know,” she said smiling and I headed out.

So thanks for your prayers for the ministry and for evangelism today if you had a chance God truly blessed.

In Him,

Bob
