Hey Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

 I hope you had a blessed day living by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I had a good day on campus and Dahlia prayed with me to receive Jesus. I also when through the Gospel with Liam, he was “on the fence” in his words at the end. He had dark red hair and a lighter mustache and goatee, rectangular metal glasses. I had some discussions with some others a couple of whom were closed to Christianity and had at one time been church going Christians and another who took the booklet wanting to read it herself. Please pray Dahlia grows in faith, we talked for over an hour after she prayed and pray Liam comes in, I did give him The Case for Christ Answer Booklet and a Bible Study.

I came across Dahlia sitting at a table against the concrete grooved wall in the upstairs of the PE lounge. She was killing some time before going to the workout area for the first time, a little apprehensive about going for some reason. She had a pretty face fair skin and her long hair was pull very tight on her head and tied in back, presumably because she was going to be active. She wore black workout clothes. She described herself as Hispanic and said she had grown up in a Roman Catholic background but had been trying other Churches a bit turned off by the politics at her church. But she had gotten into the Bible and realized there were things in the Roman Church she could not find there. But in part it was a hard push of her priest in opposition to any deportations of illegals in anyway. Her conservative family did not like the political messaging at Church. I asked her something she wanted to do before she died and she said she wanted to make an impact for people on a personal level. I asked her, “You’re walking down the road and you get hit by a bus. So you’re dead. And you stand before God and He says, ‘Why should I let you into Heaven?’ What would you say?” That’s an interesting question,” she replied. At that point if you have to defend yourself you did things you shouldn’t do… So he’d know you’re just speaking to speak.” I agreed that it wasn’t the kind of situation where a lot of fast-talking was going to help. And she agreed. “You can defend yourself as much as you want but in the end it is what you did, you know?” I agreed. I asked the likelihood she would get into Heaven and she said, “As of right now I’ve been getting closer. I had a friend at work we connected on a lot of things but mostly religion. He really taught me a lot.” She went on to say that her friend had given her a Bible, which she had with her. It seemed to be a good study Bible and she read the notes to understand things better. She had tried for 4 months or so to stay consistent but in the end she started getting too busy and prioritized the wrong things. Going to church fell off as did her reading and it had become harder to begin again. I asked her if she had more time and she said she did so I began to go through the Gospel with her. I explained that knowing God was that he lived inside her. God could do this because He had taken away her sin. I asked what Jesus had done to do this and she said, that He had used the cross. So I explained that, that He lived the perfect life she could not. His blood cleansed her and was a payment to God. Then He earned the righteousness of God to her credit.  I said she needed to receive Jesus, to believe Jesus was God had died for her sins and rose from the dead, not that she just knew the story but that that’s what she put her trust in to be forgiven. That would mean she had faith in Jesus. Grace saved her through faith. I asked if she would want to be forgiven for her sins trusting in what Jesus had done. She said she did. So I said if she wanted to be forgiven there was a prayer she could pray and I talked her through it. I asked if the prayer expressed the desire of her heart. “Yes,” she replied. I said she could pray it silently. She grinned and said, “I just prayed it as you explained it.” “OK, Amen?” said “Amen,” she replied. I found out then she had a Bible but since she knew some prayers and other things in Spanish I asked if she would like a Spanish New Testament I had gotten from the Navigators. “Oh that would really help,” she replied. I wrote her name in the front from me on the little dedication page. Then I showed her where she could sign and date the back page that she had trusted in Jesus. She really liked that. I said the likelihood she would now go to Heaven trusting in the blood and righteousness of Jesus was 100% and that though I had sinned more than her being old. (I find myself emphasizing that I am old lately and still imperfect needing forgiveness.) I gave her Bible Promises for You writing her name and the date and “forgiven!” on the inside, and she said, “Thank you.” she liked that I had written “forgiven” down. I gave her The Case for Christ Answer Booklet and a Bible study I explained. I said I would pray a Bible verse for her each day from now until Spring and one year after asking God to bless her. “Thank you for enlightening me with all this,” she said, grateful and appreciative. She said, “I have some questions.” ”Sure,” I replied. She asked about confession saying her friend had said you could confess to God. I said she could confess directly to God and He loved her and knew the future so when we screw up He forgives us, say He does and that He has a plan to make it into good.  She asked about the mixing of politics and religion. I said that Christianity shaped what we thought was good and you had to examine the statements of politicians as to their beliefs and hope they’re good and telling the truth. I talked about the Spirit’s power in that. I talked with her about trans stuff and that that ruined people’s lives as it was impossible to ever have an orgasm again once that surgery took place, which no one was told. It was impossible to turn a man into a woman or a woman into a man. She agreed. She asked about people’s claims about “Love.” I said love had to be defined and also that love was not only inclusive, all inclusivity also excluded something else. I had gotten married and had intimate sex with my wife and this excluded doing that with anyone else. She also asked about praying to Mary, angels and the saints. I pointed out God knew everything, she agreed he did. I said it did not make sense then to pray to a saint if God already knew before they told Him what you had said. I said I was not certain they could even hear you, they could not hear everyone who addressed them, they would have to be observing you and listening to you already. The Bible teaches no one is married in heaven and that we are to call no one else “Father” but God. So if there is only one Father in Heaven we are all His children and there are no Mothers either. I said I thought that the fact that Jesus gave Mary to the Apostle John at the foot of the cross suggested she would not be His mother any longer as He was going to Heaven were there are no mothers, we are all children there. But even were it true Mary remained Jesus’ mother for some reason she would have no special status with Him more than anyone else. I said I believed the Bible taught we had guardian angels but I did not think they wanted us to talk to them. She recited a prayer in Spanish she had prayed as a child asking for her angel not to leave her and protect her. I pointed out they were under the command of God to protect her and not leave her anyway so she did not need to ask them that. She agreed. She asked me stuff for over an hour and then went to work out. I really appreciated all this thanks so much,” she said. I said she was welcome. She apologized for taking up so much of my time but I said that talking like this was what I hoped would happen each day and she was more than welcome to my time. I gave her my number to text me if she was going to be around after a workout and I could find her at this table. I showed her a picture of Ellen and I headed off.
