Hey Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

I hope you had a great day with Joy that was complete. I had a good day on campus though few people were there and Nicholas prayed with me to receive Jesus. Please pray for him that he’d grow in his faith. His story is below if you have time.

Nicholas was sitting in the Cafeteria at the counter. He had a blue nylon jacket on and slightly darker blue jeans, white tennis shoes. He had half circle glasses flat on top and sandy hair in Clark Kent’s style and a gap-toothed smile. Small features. He seemed like kind a shy guy, not very big in stature. When I asked him what he would say to God to get into Heaven if he died he said, “Oh! Hmm, hmm. That’s a good question.” Then thinking more he said, “ I don’t know if I really deserve it if I’m being honest.” He said he had not been to church since his family stopped going a while back. It turned out they had been Lutheran. Saying “I try my best to generally not sin.” When I asked him the likelihood he would get into Heaven he said, “Well based on what I just said about 10-20%” It seemed like he felt he was not engaged with Church enough to acquire the benefit of the system they provided, which was going to Heaven. I went through the Gospel with him then, explaining that because Jesus’ blood cleansed us of sin. and the Righteousness of God He earned was to our credit, we could be forgiven. Because we were connected to Jesus, not by any good thing or religious efforts we made but by faith we could have eternal life. He listened attentively to the story and was engaged with what I said as I explained his good deeds were not perfect enough to pay for his bad deeds. I asked him if he would want to be forgiven trusting I Jesus or thought something else and he said, “The first one.” “Do you believe Jesus is God died for your sins and rose from the dead? Do you believe the story is true?” I asked.  “Yeah,” he said. I said then that if he wanted to place his trust I that to be forgiven there was a prayer he could pray and I walked him through it and asked if it was the desire of his heart and he said, “Yeah,” nodding. So I said he could pray it silently so only God would hear and he took the booklet and prayed to receive Jesus. When he finished I explained living the Christian life “inside out” by the Spirit’s power asking for the fruit of the Spirit in your life. I gave him a Bible because he did not have one and showed him the where to turn section and the Messianic Passages section. I gave him Bible Promises for You and a Bible study. We talked some more and I got up to go saying I would pray for him for the next year or so. I told him the likelihood he would go to Heaven now was 100% trusting in the Righteousness of Jesus to be his righteousness. “Thanks I appreciate it,” he replied and we shook hands and I was off.

So thanks for your prayers for the ministry and for evangelism today if you had a chance God truly blessed.

In Him,

Bob
