Hey Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I hope your day was blessed in the Lord. I had a good day on campus and Akayna prayed with me to receive Jesus. I also had a good time catching up with Lilli who prayed to receive Christ last semester. I gave her another book to read The Case for Christ and a Rose Publication fold out on “Who I Am in Jesus” She has a lot of struggles, so she vented some and gave me more to pray for her about. But she was glad to talk more.
Akayna was sitting in the science building hall. I have seen her before, but she always looked busy. She was working on her laptop today but looked up, so I asked her if she’d like to do a student survey for our Bible Study group and she was open. She has natural blonde hair down past her shoulders and was wearing a V-neck white short-sleeved shirt and gray sweat pants, had kind of a pug nose, shy kid, cute. She had gone to the Bible Church in town when she was younger and went through Catholic high school, but didn’t go to church now while in college. I went through the Gospel with her and she said she’d “Probably want to be forgiven with God inside.” She had some misgivings though. She had been a leader at a group I had never heard of. Possibly it is not expressly Christian. I went through the Gospel with her and she said she’d “Probably want to be forgiven with God inside but had misgivings.” So I talked her through the Trinity reflected in her, that she had a body a mind and emotions. Also I told her the logic that if there was a God, He could become a man (if he wanted to) and then he would tell people the truth (which often gets you killed). But if He was truly God you would expect Him to rise from the dead. I talked to her about living “inside out” so that God could give her strength to live the Christian life. After I had talked to her for a bit I asked, “Do you think you believe Jesus is God, died for your sins and rose from the dead?” She said she did and I said “well if you’d want to trust in that, God can live inside you and guide and strengthen you.” So she decided to give her life to Christ and prayed to receive Him. I gave her the book 20 Things God Can’t Do and also a Bible study. She gave me her email to send her some more stuff. I shook her hand and said “It was really nice to meet you.” “Yeah, you too,” she said smiling.
So thanks for your prayers for the ministry and for evangelism today if you had a chance. God truly blessed.
In Him,
Bob
