Hey Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

I hope your day was blessed with all good things and you were content in Christ and His care for you. I had a good day on campus and a Black guy Bobby prayed with me to receive Jesus. Please pray he is blessed. Also Michael was close, saying he would take the booklet and think about it feeling he might be too young to know the desire of his heart. So I’ll be praying he comes in. Bobby’s story is below if you want to take the time. Thanks for your help today.

When I first got to school I was prompted to ask the Lord where I should go and I had a sense I was to go toward the cafeteria. When I got there I usually go along the counter at the window but today I headed along the wall with the vending machines and Bobby was the first person I talked to. He was at a table alone, half way through his Subway sandwich. He said he’d answer a few questions. He had an off-white t-shirt on with some kind of yin/yang symbol on it with three sections. It could have been a corporate logo. He had a bead that filled his cheeks and crossed his chin without a mustache. His afro was about an inch and a half high and short on the sides rough on top. He was friendly and wore glasses with square half wire rims. He was tall built like a basketball player and said he was a student athlete. When I asked him what he would say to God if he died and was asked, “Why should I let you into Heaven?” He said, “Because I’m a good person.” He had not been to church in a while but his mom was also religious and they read the Bible together sometimes. He knew Jesus had died to take away our sins so he very attentive following the stories I told and the explanations. As I ended the Gospel talk I asked if he would want to be forgiven with God inside him or thought something else and he said, “Have God inside,” realizing he needed to be forgiven and not hope he was good enough. I said if he wanted to be forgiven there was a prayer he could pray and I walked him through it asking if it was the desire of his heart. He nodded and so I said he could pray it silently, did he want to? “Yeah he said,” then pausing as he took the booklet, “You want be to pray out loud?” “No just between you and God,” I said. He prayed and I said there was more on the booklet on faith and I explained living “inside out” by the Spirit’s power. I found out he did not have a Bible so I said I’d give him one. I gave him a Copy of 20 Things God Can’t Do writing his name and the date and “forgiven” in the front and “Just ask the Spirit”.  I also gave him a Bible study on ways Jesus claims to be God and a Bible promise book for his mom. I said I would keep him in my prayers and he was grateful. I walked off forgetting the Bible so a couple minutes later I doubled back and showed him the “Where to Turn” section for questions he might have. I wrote his name and the date and forgiven in the Bible as well and he liked it and I headed out.

So thanks for your prayers for the ministry and for evangelism today if you had the chance God truly blessed.

In Him,

Bob
