Hey Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

Hope ya had a good day walking in the light of the Lord’s love for you. The world is getting pretty dark, but He loves us. I had a good day on campus as Garrett prayed with me to receive Christ. I also came across Gabriel who said he would pray before class on August 25th and he said he had, so I gave him a Bible Study, already having given him a promise book. He had a pencil thick mustache and chin beard and was wearing a watch-cap today and cross earrings. I had been praying for him off and on but now I’ll begin to pray for him each day. Garrett’s story is below if you have a moment.

Garrett seemed like a pretty serious guy, sitting in a lounge with two others in it up on the 3rd floor of the BIC. He had a short hair cut and square everyman features, sandy hair. He wore a grey hoodie with Mickey Mouse on it in a hollowed out silhouette and dark grey sweats. He said his family had stopped going to church when he was young, not being able to find one they wanted to attend. When I asked him what he would say to God to get into Heaven he said, “I’ve tried my best to avoid sin.” He thought he had a 50/50 chance of getting into Heaven. I went through the Gospel with him and he knew Jesus had died to take away our sins. He stared at me pretty intensely off and on as I spoke. And it turned out he was tracking well. I asked if he would want to be forgiven with God living inside him or thought something else and he said, “Be forgiven with God inside.” I said if he wanted to be forgiven there was a prayer he could pray and I talked him through it. Asking if it was the desire of his heart, he nodded.  I asked if he’d want to he could pray it silently and only God would hear. “Yeah sure,“ he replied. And he prayed to receive Jesus taking a long time to do so seeming to put it in his own words. I explained what I usually do about a life living by the Spirit’s Power and living “Inside Out”. I gave him 20 Things God Can’t Do and a after explaining that anything conditional in the book could be done in the power of the Spirit if he would “Just Ask “I wrote his name and the date and “forgiven” on the inside and along with by the Spirit’s power. I told him I would pray for him each day for a year and said that now trusting in the righteousness of Jesus to be his righteousness the likelihood he would go to Heaven was 100%. He had to head out so I said thanks for talking to me and headed out the door of the lounge.

So thanks for your prayers for the ministry and for evangelism today if you had a chance. God truly blessed.

In Him,
Bob
