Hey Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I hope you had a good day walking with in Christ. I had a good day on campus and Adrian and Anecia each prayed with me to receive Jesus as their Savior today and Calvin (medium build guy with a ton of freckles and a tight short mop of red hair) was close. I gave him The Case for Christianity Answer Booklet. “I’ll check into it” he said. I’d be grateful for your prayers to bless them. Their stories are below if you have extra time today.

Anecia was a cute, round-face black girl. Her hair was up over her head and the curls were kind of here and there. She was not thin at all, on the short side, really shy and had on a mask on with Mini Mouse on it. She wore black rubber crocs, which I could see sitting at her feet, and black pants and a black t-shirt with a crazy colorful print or something on the front. I asked her if she would like to do a survey and she just nodded silently so I sat at her feet and began. I asked her what she would say to God if she died and was asked “Why should I let you into Heaven?” She thought for a minute and said, “The life I was living.” “That you were a good person?” I queried. “Yeah,” she replied. She thought she had a 20% or even only a 10% chance of going to Heaven. I began to go through the Gospel with her and used stories to make her interested and she laughed a couple times. As I finished I asked if she would want to be forgiven, trusting in Jesus with God inside or thought something else. “Be forgiven with God inside,” she replied. So I said if she wanted to trust in Christ there was a prayer she could pray. I talked through the prayer with her and asked her, reading, “It says here, ‘Is this prayer the desire of your heart?’ so if it is you could pray it silently right now. I wouldn’t hear you but God would hear and then you would know you were forgiven. Wanna do it?” She silently nodded took the booklet and prayed to receive Jesus. I explained to her living “Inside out By the Spirit’s power” to strengthen her and that the book of James says you have not because you do not ask, so “Just Ask.” Then I explained that if she would trust in the righteousness of Jesus to be her righteousness, the likelihood she would go to Heaven is 100%. She said she liked to read so I gave her 20 Things God Can’t Do writing her name and the date and “Forgiven” in the front. I also gave her The Case for Christianity Answer Booklet. And I gave her a Bible study on passages where Jesus claims to be God.  I thanked her for talking to me, telling her I would pray for her for the next year. I got to my feet, asking her if I could see her face to remember her when I prayed. She showed me her face with a tiny smile and I said, “Thanks, I’ll remember.” And I headed off down the hall into the cafeteria.

Adrian went to a Catholic Church. He had a big mop of brown hair, gray shiny shorts with a slightly darker stripe down the side. He had a dark blue hoodie on with a picture I could not make out.  He was eating a subway sandwich; he had full lips and a button bump chin you could almost cover with a quarter, pretty big dude. I asked him “Say you are walking down the road and you get hit by a bus. So you’re dead and you stand before God and He asks, ‘Why should I let you into Heaven?’ What would you say?” He thought for a moment and said, “’Cause I’ve always followed His Word through hard times.” He was 100% sure he would go to Heaven. I began to go through the Gospel with him and he knew Jesus had died to take away our sins. I explained the righteousness of God that Jesus earned, saying we did not go to Heaven because we’re good but because Jesus was good and we’re connected to Him. I asked him if he would want to be forgiven, trusting in what Jesus had done for him so God could live inside him. Or if he thought something else. “Be forgiven,” he replied. So I said there was a prayer he could pray to be forgiven, trusting in Jesus. I read through it, asking if he would want to pray it silently “Yeah,” he said firmly. And he took the booklet and prayed to receive Jesus. I explained living “by the Spirit’s power, Inside out” “You know you go to church and they say ‘You should do this, you should do this, and you should do that” and you’re like ‘this is great but I’m gonna forget this by Wednesday’.” He nodded in agreement with a slight expression as if to say that was his experience at church. “But if you wanted to you could ask God: ‘Make me this kind of man.’ And if you forgot by Wednesday it wouldn’t really matter because He would have started to work on Sunday.” I gave him a copy of 20 Things God Can’t Do. I wrote his name and the date and “forgiven” in the front explaining everything the book suggested you have to do, God would give you the power to do if you “Just Ask”.  I also gave him a Bible study on passages where Jesus claims to be God and told him I would pray for him for the next year. “Thank you, I appreciate it,” he replied sincerely and I headed out.

So thanks for your prayers for the Ministry and for Evangelism today if you had a chance. God truly blessed.

In Him,

Bob
