Results of the Work – 9/5/19

Hey Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

I hope your day was blessed today with all good things. I had a good day on campus in as much as I got couple seeds planted. Justin was close to trusting in Christ, in the science building lounge waiting for a ride up against the windows. In the end he’d “pray later tonight” he said. I couldn’t tell if he had much conviction so I was fine with him not praying hoping the Spirit would work on him if he’d truly wanted to trust in Christ. He began answering what he would say to God to get into heaven by saying. “I try to treat other people the way I want to be treated. I try to put myself in others shoes and relate to people. I feel that {would get} me into heaven because if you are not relating to people you are judging peopled putting yourself on the level of God because only God can judge people.” This is of course is true and something I need to hear and Christians need to remember for sure but it is not why God sends you into Heaven. He was a friendly guy with sandy hair and a ball cap on a few days growth of beard. He really kind of looked like a regular guy, a kind face. But as I got up to go after he said he’d probably pray tonight he said, “I think if you believe in God as your savior it is enough.” So possibly he heard the Gospel and understood he needed to trust in the work of Christ and not on righteousness of self justification in your own strength. I explained walking by the Spirit asking for God’s help in all things when he said he found it hard to be devoted to religious things and I gave him the book Bible Promises for You which he really liked and thanked me for, so I’ll pry for him to truly trust in Christ and His righteousness imputed to him. He had been raised Catholic as a kid but had not been to church in 10 years.

So thanks for your prayers for the ministry and for evangelism today if you had a chance. I think God had some good things for me to do and teach to some Christians too some of whom said they might check out the Bible Study.

In Him,

Bob
