Hey Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

I hope your day was blessed and you are happy in Jesus. I had a good day on campus and JJ and Yaritza each prayed with me to receive Jesus. Maritza, her girl friend had prayed to receive Jesus after I had gone through the Gospel with her over a year ago but had never told me. So I will be praying for her to grow as well. Please pray they are blessed in Christ and Yaritza can find a group to support her after sending her abusive boy friend to prison. If you are interested in the details they are below. Thanks for your help in prayer.

JJ was sitting at the counter looking outside in the cafeteria and was willing to talk about the Lord. He had classic black features a short afro. JJ was clean shaven, had and almond shaped eyes. He had on a hoodie and shredded patched Jeans. He wore an earring in his left ear that was a round cluster of tiny stones diamond in appearance.  When I asked him what he would say to God to get into Heaven he said, “First I’m very faithful. Second I’m in His house every Sunday. Third I would very much like to be reconnected with my family.” I asked if he had had a lot of family who had died and he said he had a brother two grandfathers and a grandmother and a cousin. I asked him how likely it was he would go to Heaven and he said, “I think it’s pretty likely. I stay away from sin; I do a lot of things by the book, the Bible. I think it’s pretty likely I end up there.” I began to tell him the Gospel and asked what God had done to take away his sin and he said, “He died”. I agreed and explained how Jesus Blood had cleansed us from all sin so He could live inside us and that His righteousness was to our credit. He liked the illustrations and seemed to acknowledge all I said. I explained he did not go to Heaven because he was good but because Jesus was good. I explained he could receive Jesus and believe on His payment for sin by faith.  I asked if he wanted to trust in Jesus and in what he had done to forgive him so He could live inside him or if he thought something else. “I would want to be forgiven,” he said. I said, “So if you had not been trusting in Jesus dying for you to be forgiven but were just hoping you were good enough…” JJ nodded in agreement to that. “Then there is a prayer you could pray to be forgiven.” I walked him through the prayer and asked if it was the desire of his heart and he said, “Hmm hum.” So I said he could pray it silently and he took the booklet and prayed to receive Christ. I took it back and explained to him a life in Christ asking for the Spirit’s power to help him live the Christian life and do anything God was asking him to do. I gave him the book 20 Things God Can’t Do writing his name and the date and “forgiven” in the front along with By the Spirit’s Power”. I also gave him a Bible study on the deity of Christ. I told him I would be praying for him each night for a year. He was grateful and thanked me. “Cool to talk with you man,” I said picking up my pack where I’d been standing leaning against the glass. “You too, thank you.” “Have a good one.” I said. “You too, thank you.” he replied and I headed out.

Yaritza was sitting across from the bookstore on a counter high desk top in front of a computer box I thought was some kind of display. Her girl friend, Maritza sitting at the table beside her exclaimed that I used to talk to her all the time in the MAC arts building. Saying she still had the booklet I gave her. It turned out she had prayed to receive Jesus and Yaritza said her friend did in fact still have the booklet. But I had not known she had trusted in Christ until today. Yaritza was willing to do a survey because her friend encouraged her. Maritza seemed to be a boy magnet as we sat and did not listen in closely. They were pretty girls Yarzita had glasses and loose curly hair and Maritza had straight hair. Yaritza wore a black hoodie that read: “Just Do It” on the front and jeans. Both girls were short, near 5 feet I think. I asked her what she would say to go to get into Heaven and she said, “I’m gonna be like, I’m a good ass person. I know I’ve sinned. Please give me a chance to redeem myself into Heaven.” So you’d ask for a chance?” I asked and she agreed. I went through the Gospel with her. She hadn’t been to Church and did not know how Christ had taken away her sins.  She asked if she would have to ask for forgiveness all the time. I said she should ask God to forgive her whenever she sinned but first she needed to ask God to forgive her trusting in Jesus had what she had done for her on the Cross, then He would live inside her. I said the Book of Revelation said there are books of all the things you have done and God would hold you accountable for all of them unless your name was in The Book of Life. “How do I get my name in The Book of Life?” She exclaimed. I said she could pray a prayer trusting in Jesus and His Spirit would live inside her. She could ask Him to transform her and she would become a different person little by bit and He would give her strength. I said trusting in Jesus to be forgiven was where she needed to start.  It turned out she had been in an abusive relationship with a boyfriend whom was now in prison because of the charges she had filed against him. She believed God had protected her more than once when she was afraid for her life. She decided to pray to receive Christ and told Maritza and the Black guy trying to make time with her to, “Keep it down, for real. I’m trying to pray to the Lord right now.” They reduced to a whisper and she prayed to receive Jesus. I gave her the book 20 Things God Can’t Do writing her name and the date and “forgiven” in the front and “By the Spirit’s Power” explaining the Christian life was “inside out”, God would transform her if she asked. The black guy moved on as we talked more. I gave her a card for a local Church and encouraged her to contact them and ask for a support group for domestic abuse. I said they were a large local Church and would be able to direct her to resources. She asked if they could tell her where to go to Church in Addison and I said they might know of a Church there yes. I encouraged her to have nothing more to do with the guy she had sent to prison. I pointed out he was a danger to her, had lied to her and cheated on her and might do it again once they would marry. I said that would make it even harder if he would leave her with kids. I pointed out that now that he had a prison record he would have a hard time finding work and when she added it all up looking forward into the future he was not a good choice for a marriage. It turned out her father was abusive to her mother and I explained that she was going to be attracted to a guy like her dad until God transformed her so she could look for someone who was also changed by God. As they got up to go, Antonio their ride showed up. I explained the gospel to him briefly and he had some interest. I gave them all Bible Promise books with their names. I said would be praying for him each night for a year. I then told the girls they could pray the verses to God. Yaritza was enthusiastic hearing that and telling Maritza God was going to, “What did you say tran…” I said “Transform you, change you.” “Transform me.” She explained to Maritza who took another booklet and said then she had before prayed the prayer to receive Jesus.

So thanks for your prayers for the ministry and for evangelism today if you had a chance, God truly blessed. Please pry for these girls I am hopeful for them.

In Him,
Bob

Hey Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I hope you had a blessed day in the Lord. I had a good day on campus and Alma prayed to receive Jesus today and Jeremy committed to Christ and said he trusted in Him but had to run to the Bus and said he would pray later asking if I came around often and would look for me. D’ Andre a guy with a small round head and stick straight blondish hair said he would be thinking about committing to Christ and wanted to think it through some more. “Awesome, thank you.” He said when I said I’d look for him another time. Please pray they’re blessed. There are some details below if you have time you want to spend. Thanks for your prayers.

Alma was sitting in the hallway where the Student Services Center connects with the SRC on the ground floor in an overstuffed chair. She had a slight African accent and a watchman’s cap on that was green and yellow. She wore a waist length green hooded parka with a fur edge on the hood and jeans. She had pretty eyes and I could see the top of a flat pug nose, but then, it might have been being flattened by the mask. When I asked her what she would say to God to get into Heaven she said, “Because I share your word. I always pray. I read my Bible.” She thought she had a 50% chance of going to Heaven. When I said God had to take away her sins to live inside her I asked her what Jesus had done to take away her sin that but she did not seem to know. So I went on to explain the gospel to her. I was sitting on the floor to her right and she supported her head leaning on her hand looking down at the booklet I held up for her to see explaining as I went. I could not tell how much interest she had. But when I asked her if she would want to be forgiven trusting in what Jesus had done for her so God could live inside her or thought something else she said, “Forgiven with God inside me.” So I said if she wanted to be forgiven there was a prayer she could pray and talked her through the prayer. I asked if it was the desire of her heart and she said, “Yeah.” So I said she could pray it quietly and God would hear and forgive her and she took the booklet and prayed to receive Jesus. I explained the Christian life living by the Spirit’s power “Inside Out” to her. I gave her a copy of 20 Things God Can’t Do and wrote Just Ask on a couple pages  explaining it to her and wrote her name and the date and forgiven inside. She asked if I came there each day and I said, “Yes m’am.” “I would like to learn more,” she replied. “I am here on Monday and Thursday can you teach me?” I gave her a card with my phone number on it and said if she still wanted to meet then she could text me on Thursday. I would teach her a Bible study then. I could meet her where we were sitting. She thanked me and I gave her a Bible Study to do on her own on the deity of Christ and I said I would pray for her each day.

Jeremy had no time but wanted to hear quickly how to go to Heaven as he could not answer the question about what to say to get in. He had wavy hair and a grey hoodie on but I could not make out his face. I went through the Gospel as quickly as I could and he said he would pray later because he had to run for the bus. I said, “Do you believe Jesus is God died for your sins and rose from the dead and he said he did. I asked, “Are you trusting in that now for your sins to be forgiven and go to Heaven?” He said, “Yes.”  So I said the only thing left was for him to tell that to God. He ran off asking if I would be around again and I said yes and we agreed to look for each other.

So Thanks for your prayers for the ministry and for evangelism today if you had a chance. God truly blessed.

In Him,

Bob

Hey Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

I hope your day was blessed with all good things and you were content in Christ and His care for you. I had a good day on campus and a Black guy Bobby prayed with me to receive Jesus. Please pray he is blessed. Also Michael was close, saying he would take the booklet and think about it feeling he might be too young to know the desire of his heart. So I’ll be praying he comes in. Bobby’s story is below if you want to take the time. Thanks for your help today.

When I first got to school I was prompted to ask the Lord where I should go and I had a sense I was to go toward the cafeteria. When I got there I usually go along the counter at the window but today I headed along the wall with the vending machines and Bobby was the first person I talked to. He was at a table alone, half way through his Subway sandwich. He said he’d answer a few questions. He had an off-white t-shirt on with some kind of yin/yang symbol on it with three sections. It could have been a corporate logo. He had a bead that filled his cheeks and crossed his chin without a mustache. His afro was about an inch and a half high and short on the sides rough on top. He was friendly and wore glasses with square half wire rims. He was tall built like a basketball player and said he was a student athlete. When I asked him what he would say to God if he died and was asked, “Why should I let you into Heaven?” He said, “Because I’m a good person.” He had not been to church in a while but his mom was also religious and they read the Bible together sometimes. He knew Jesus had died to take away our sins so he very attentive following the stories I told and the explanations. As I ended the Gospel talk I asked if he would want to be forgiven with God inside him or thought something else and he said, “Have God inside,” realizing he needed to be forgiven and not hope he was good enough. I said if he wanted to be forgiven there was a prayer he could pray and I walked him through it asking if it was the desire of his heart. He nodded and so I said he could pray it silently, did he want to? “Yeah he said,” then pausing as he took the booklet, “You want be to pray out loud?” “No just between you and God,” I said. He prayed and I said there was more on the booklet on faith and I explained living “inside out” by the Spirit’s power. I found out he did not have a Bible so I said I’d give him one. I gave him a Copy of 20 Things God Can’t Do writing his name and the date and “forgiven” in the front and “Just ask the Spirit”.  I also gave him a Bible study on ways Jesus claims to be God and a Bible promise book for his mom. I said I would keep him in my prayers and he was grateful. I walked off forgetting the Bible so a couple minutes later I doubled back and showed him the “Where to Turn” section for questions he might have. I wrote his name and the date and forgiven in the Bible as well and he liked it and I headed out.

So thanks for your prayers for the ministry and for evangelism today if you had the chance God truly blessed.

In Him,

Bob

Hey Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

I hope you had a blessed fall day and there is no snow on your roof yet. I had a good day on campus and Alexis and Eugenia each prayed with me to receive Jesus as their savior. Please pray they are blessed in their new trust in Jesus and strengthened in faith. Some details of their stories are below if you feel like spending the time. Thanks for your prayers.

Eugenia was on her knees on the wooden bench outside the Mac Arts building sheltering the sunlight from her phone screen. She was willing to do a student questioner with me. She had brown hair in broad wide curls parted on the side. She had a sharp pointed nose with a freckle on the right cheek that I noticed when her mask slipped down. She wore black pants and a cowl neck red sweater. She had her phone playing music through part of the time we talked. When I asked her to describe herself she said she was a Christian and that she was Greek Orthodox. She seemed happy. When I asked her what she would say to God if He asked her what it was she thought would get her into Heaven she said, “Oh that turned really quick.” Talking about the depth of the questions. Then thinking a bit she said,  “The only thing I can think of is, How good of a servant were you? Did you love people the same way I loved them, feed the homeless help the poor, those in prison—not just thought about yourself all the time.” She went on to say, I want to be able to tell Him I gave everything I had and I glorified him for it. I want to say hi to my family, my mom and my grandfather.” It turned out her relatives had died 6 months ago or less. I asked her if she thought there was a likelihood she would go to Heaven. “I don’t think I can say. I can’t put a % on how God will judge me; it’s not for me to say. As long as we are trying, and try to make progress. That’s for God to judge. When he does judge us it’s gonna be definite.” I went through the Gospel with her reading verses and she read them with me aloud as I went through the book. She seemed to giving assent to the things I said all the way through. And she knew Jesus had died for our sins. I explained to her the righteousness of God Jesus had earned and how it was to her credit using an extra credit in class story she liked. I asked if she would want to be forgiven by faith in what Jesus had done for her on the cross and she said, “Yes of course.” So I said if she wanted to be forgiven there was a prayer she could pray and I talked her through it explaining it to her what it meant. I asked if she would want to pray a prayer telling God that and she said, “Oh my gosh yes!” So I said, “OK” and handed her the booklet. She prayed then to receive Jesus. She crossed herself as she finished and I gave her Bible Promises For You writing her name and the date and “forgiven” in the front and a Bible study on the deity of Christ. I told her about the Christian life living by the Spirit’s power in her “inside out”. We talked for a while then as she talked about her mom’s death and struggles with accusing thoughts of letting her friends down. I encouraged her that now the Spirit lived in her and she should pray, “Lord, take the thoughts of Satan out of my heart.” And that we all can have false thoughts like that of failure and that I thought it often was a devil trying to make me feel bad. She was really friendly and kind as we talked but then a handful of big rain drops began to fall on us. I told her I would pray for her every night until the end of the following school year. “Thank you,” she replied. She quickly gathered her things and we headed in different ways.

I found Alexis under the stairs on a row of chairs near the exit outside by the bookstore waiting for a guy. She had long brown hair and pretty eyes will long eye lashes like some friends have explained to me are put on professionally. From what I could see of her features she had a pretty angular face.  She was short and petite. She said she occasionally went to a Roman Catholic Church. She wanted to have a family and when I asked her what she would say to God to get into Heaven she said, “I’m a genuine person.” She thought she had an 80% chance of getting into Heaven. She was really engaged in everything I said as I went through the Gospel with her, looking me in the eye and laughing here and there at the analogies. She did not know what Jesus had done to take away her sins. So I explained everything to her as I always do of the Gospel and His Blood and Righteousness. When I asked her if she would want to be forgiven for her sins trusting in Jesus or thought something else she said emphatically, “No. Forgiven.” So I said if she’d like to be forgiven there was a prayer she could pray and I talked her through it as well. And asked if it was the desire of her heart and she nodded. So I said she could pray it silently that I wouldn’t hear but God would hear and she’d know she was forgiven trusting in Him. “Would you like to do it?” “Sure,” she replied and she prayed then to receive Christ. I explained the Christen life living “inside out” by the Spirit’s power and the fruit of the Spirit to her. She did not want a Bible but I gave her Bible Promises For You also writing her name and the date and “forgiven” inside. I said that now trusting in the righteousness of Jesus to be her righteousness the likelihood she would go to Heaven was 100%. I said I would pray for her each night for the next year. Her guy rolled up about then sitting next to her so I said, “Have a good one,” she said ok and they began to walk off.

So thanks for your prayers for the ministry and for evangelism today if you had a chance. God truly blessed.

In Him,

Bob

Hey Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

I hope your day was blessed today with all good things from above. I was blessed on campus and Ben prayed with me to receive Jesus. I also had a good conversation with Faizaan a Muslim guy. Their stories are below if you are interested to take the time. I would be grateful for your prayers of blessing on Ben’s new faith and even that there could be a door for the word for Faizaan who I also gave this tract

Faizann appreciated the presentation I gave him of the Gospel and asked what made me believe. I said that because God alone knows the future Christ’s fulfillment of prophecy would be the first reason. Then I gave him the example of His virgin birth born in Bethlehem and His lineage to David through Nathan avoiding the cursed line of Kings by Mary’s line in Luke. He was really into logic and philosophy and reason. I showed him Strobel’s book saying some of the arguments he has of theism would cross over for Islam. I explained the Trinity to him and gave him a Bible study of Jesus claims to be God. I said the next time I saw him I would appreciate if he thought Christians were reading into the verses to find claims or if they held up. I will be anxious to have an outsiders take on the Bible study in that way since I give it to so many people. The Muslim faith does not believe God is rational as it says we cannot know anything of God in His essence. But he might have a different take on that. I explained the Christians who were scientists in Europe developed the scientific method believing they could think God’s thoughts after Him. That God was reasonable and so had created an ordered universe. We talked about free will and other stuff too. We hit it off so I am hopeful we can talk more.

Ben was in a first floor lounge sitting looking at his phone. He has on a trucker style ball cap, a grey hoodie with white sleeves and grey sweats. He had a full beard and rectangular half rimmed glasses. Kind of had that regular guy trucker look to match the hat. He was willing to answer a few questions. He said he grew up going to South Park Church in Park Ridge. This is where I believe the now disparaged Bill Hybel’s began, doing youth ministry. I said I heard that church had a good youth program. He agreed. When I asked him what he would say to God to get into Heaven he said, “That’s a heavy question.” Then thinking he said, “I think I strived to be a good person all of my life.” He thought he had an 85-90% chance of going to Heaven. I went through the Gospel with him and he knew Jesus had died for our sins. I explained the imputed righteousness of God and that we don’t go to Heaven because we are good but because God is good. And then that it is not by works, out good stuff can’t fix our bad stuff. I asked if he would want to be forgiven for his sins with God living inside him or thought something else and he said, “Well yeah, who wouldn’t want to be forgiven?” So I said if he wanted to be forgiven to trust in what Jesus had done there was a prayer he could pray and I walked him through it.  I asked if it was the desire of his heart and he said, “Yeah.” I said then if he never had a chance as an adult to tell God he wanted to be forgiven trusting in Jesus he could pray it silently. I wouldn’t hear but God would hear and he said, “Sure.”  He read it through then and then paused and closed his eyes and prayed for forgiveness. I gave him 20  Things God Can’t Do and wrote his name and the date and “forgiven” in the front having explained to him that we live the Christian life by the Spirit’s power, Inside out. He thanked me and I said sure and that I would pray for him each night for a year. I saw his face as I walked away.

So thanks for your prayers for the ministry and for evangelism today if you had a chance, God truly blessed.

In Him,

Bob

Hey Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

I hope your day was blessed as mine was in the Lord. Fabi & Noah each prayed with me to receive Jesus today. And Raul said he would pray later but had to run to his ride. Please pray they are blessed in their new faith and that Raul would have turned his heart to Christ as Savior.  The details are below if you have time. Thanks for your help in prayer.

Fabi looked like she would have a cute face under her black fabric mask she had long brown waving/curly hair and wore leggings and a black fleece top, zipped at the neck. She was sitting in a lounge on the 1st floor waiting for a girl friend and searching for a house on the web her family could buy. She said her mom has her heart set on staying in Wooddale (where they have lived in an apartment their entire lives) and her carpenter dad could fix-up a place that needs work. She was Latina her mom having come here from Mexico. We spent a lot of time after she had prayed to receive Jesus talking about patience and waiting on the Lord for the right good thing, she really wanted a house for her family. I told her of some of the problems in the world right now, starvation in China (and cold they have no coal supplies and are collapsing financially). Europe is out of Natural Gas and there is premature winter happening everywhere it seems over there. I said there may be some turmoil God is sparing her and her family from where owning a home will be better on the other side of it.

When we first began talking I asked her what she would say to God to get into Heaven and she thought awhile with a “Hmm,” and a “Because…” finally saying, “Me and my family have always prayed… we have adored everything you do and do for us. I go to Church I would just stand by Him.” She thought she had a 50/50 change of going to Heaven and said she had done all the things you do in the Catholic Church as you grow up. When I asked her what Jesus had done to take away her sins she did not know at all however and as I began to explain the Gospel where Jesus died for her she said, “Wow.” I explained His cleansing blood and righteousness to her credit. She took it all in and I slowed down to make sure she understood. When I had finished and asked if she would like to be forgiven with God inside her she immediately said, “Yes.” And I said if she wanted to be forgiven there was a prayer she could pray and talked her through it. I asked if she would like to pray it silently and she immediately said “Yes.” “OK go ahead,” I replied. And she prayed to receive Christ. She asked if she could keep the booklet and I said sure. I explained a life in Christ to her “Inside Out By the Spirit’s Power” I gave her a Bible Promises for You book (writing her name and the Date and “forgiven” in the front) as we talked about how much she wanted a house and said she should pray the verses in it and keep trusting in the Lord. I showed her several. She seemed worried about the vaccine having taken it and saying her brother had heard people were being injured and refused the 2nd shot. I said not to worry but to pray if it had hurt her in anyway God would heal her. I also gave her a Bible Study and 20 Things God Can’t Do writing “Just Ask” in the front and on several pages. She was a great kid. As her friend walked up she said, “Thanks for all this!” I said sure and gave her a card with my # on it. She said when they got a house she’d text me as I said I would be praying that for her for the next year.

Noah, a Black guy, was sitting in the hall near where the BIC begins a tunnel into the PE building. He has short hair on the sides of his 2 inch afro and small freckles on either side of his narrow nose you could see when his mask slipped down. His face was narrow. He seemed to be waiting on a girl I had seen him within the past who had a basketball size, loose, curly afro but when she came she stuck to her phone. He had dark Blue/grey sweats on and was tall and on the thin side. When I asked him what he would day to God to be let into Heaven he said, “That’s a deep question.” Then thinking more he said, “Because I always believed in you.” He thought the likelihood he would go to Heaven was 100%. He had a female family member who was a pastor and they all went to church now on line. He did not know what Jesus had done to take away his sins and the Gospel seemed completely novel. But he tuned right in and when the girl he was waiting for came he did not acknowledge her and she simply stayed on her phone. He said some things that showed he was tracking. When I asked if he would want to be forgiven with God inside him he said, “God inside me. I explained there was a prayer he could pray. I talked through the prayer the prayer saying that if he wanted he could pray it silently and he said, “Yeah.” Like it was the next obvious thing to do. I quickly showed him a life in Christ. And he got up to go saying, “Thanks so much. I really needed this.” I said, “Here let me give you a book,” and just had time to give him a Bible promises for You book as he headed out but I feel like I will see him again.

So thanks very much for your prayers for the ministry and for evangelism today if you had a chance. God truly blessed. There is no school tomorrow but I will be back at it Wednesday.

In Him,

Bob

Hey Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I hope your day Friday was blessed and you are enjoying something like the best weather of the year we get these days near Chicago with Joy in the Spirit. I had a good day on campus and Roman prayed with me to receive Jesus. I’d be grateful for your prayers blessing on Him. Dome details of my encounter with him are below if you want to spend the time.

Roman was sitting in a lounge about in the middle of the BIC on the first floor. He had a mop of dark hair (like an anime character) the part of which seemed a bit left of center. He wore a grey shirt and had what I think his girlfriend would call a cute small face, small features, looked tanned or Latino. He was hoping to become an engineer and had a sticker that said “Engineer” on his lap top. Not too big of a guy. He said he hadn’t been to Church in some years. When I asked him what he would say to God to get into Heaven he said, “I always try to think about the other person.” He thought he had a 50/50 chance to get into Heaven.  He listened closely to the gospel and when I asked him what the big thing was that Jesus had done to take away our dins he said, “He died.” He took the Gospel all in smiling at some of the stories and I asked if he would want to be forgiven for his sins with Christ living inside him giving him the power to he and he said, “Yeah. “ I said if he wanted to be forgiven there was a prayer he could pray and walked him through it. I asked if it was the desire of his heart and he said Yeah and I said he could pray it silently if he wanted and only God could hear. “Sure,” he replied and prayed to receive Jesus. I explained living “inside out” and 20 Things God Can’t Do writing his name and the date and “forgiven” and saying he could just ask God for the power to do anything God was asking him to do. I gave him a Bible study on the deity of Christ from prophecy and Gospel passages. Then I recalled one of the words to describe himself had been “Doubtful”. So I gave him The Case for Christianity Answer Booklet. I told him that trusting in the righteousness of God seemed grateful and I said I would pray for him for a year. I walked of and saw his face as he pulled down his mask.

So thanks for your prayers for evangelism and the ministry Friday if you had a chance God truly blessed. Roman is 51st of students who have prayed to receive Christ on campus fall semester.

In Him,

Bob

Hey Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I hope your day was blessed with all good things from above and you walked in Joy. I had a good day on campus hopefully getting a seed or two planted and Nathan prayed with me to receive Jesus. Please pray he grows in his faith and is blessed. His story is below if you have some time.

Nathan was the last guy I talked to after several hours on campus. He had medium sandy blonde hair and a darker beard. His straight hair on top of his head was long pulled back into a pony tail and the sides and back were shaved like a crew cut. Medium built athletic guy. When I asked him what he would say to God if asked ‘why should I let you into heaven?’ he said, “I tried to live my life every single day being the best version of myself. I’ve made some mistakes but I’ve always tried to fix them.” He thought he had an 85% chance of going to Heaven. He said he’d gone to Catholic Church. When I asked him what Jesus had done to take away his sins he had nothing that came to mind. So at that point I continued to explain the perfect life in Christ God lived, who then gave his life in a payment for sins. That God was paid a perfect payment we could not pay. He said at that point, “That’s a good explanation,” liking the illustrations I used up until then. I explained how Jesus righteousness was too our credit like extra credit in a class. He was one of the most engaged people I have spoke to all semester giving verbal assent to each point saying things like “oh OK.” I asked him if he wanted to be forgiven for his sins with God living inside him trusting in what Christ had done or thought something else he said, “I want God inside me I want to be forgiven.” So I explained that if he wanted that there was a prayer he could pray and I talked him through it asking if it was the desire of his heart. “Yeah,” he said. So I said he could pray it silently. “I wouldn’t hear but God would hear and he’d know he was forgiven.” He took the booklet then and prayed to receive Christ. Finishing, he crossed himself. I took the booklet back saying he could have it and I explained living by God’s Spirit’s power inside out then, where God would transform him on the inside and he would become a good man doing good things on the outside. I explained that now trusting in the righteousness of Jesus to be his righteousness the likelihood he would go to Heaven was 100%. I gave him 20 Things God can’t Do writing his name and the date and “forgiven” on the inside and he thanked me saying something like that’s cool. I gave a Bible Study and said I would pray for him each day for a year, one of the things Paul prays in the Bible. He had thanked me a couple times but said again, “Thank you I really appreciate it.” “Sure have a good one man,” I replied and I headed out.

So thanks for your prayers for the ministry and for evangelism today if you had a chance. God truly blessed.

In Him,

Bob

Hey Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I hope your day was blessed with some good things that gave ya joy. My stomach seems better so that’s a blessing and Juan and Armen each prayed with me to receive Jesus today. Please pray their faith is strengthened and they are blessed even more in the future. If you feel like making time to read what happened it’s below.

Juan was sitting in the lunch room finishing lunch and he said he only had 5 minutes. He was a good looking guy had a bit of a Spanish language accent, dark hair short on the sides hair and rectangular rimmed glasses, had a professional looking face, wearing a baseball style long sleeve shirt and jeans, warm smile square features. I asked him if he wanted to answer just one big question and when I asked him what he would say to God if asked, “Why should I let you into Heaven?” He replied, “Why not.” I’ve gotten that answer before and I told him that a professor I had in college the semester before I had them asked that on a midterm, “Why?”, One guy answered “Why Not?” and turned it in and he gave him an A. “Well you wanna know why not? Or not so much?” I asked. “Sure,” he replied. So I quickly went through the gospel with him. He listened closely taking it in well saying, “like a heritage,” when I explained how we were adopted and given the sacrifice for our sins the blood that cleansed us and the righteousness of God that surrounds us. I asked if he wanted to be forgiven with God living inside him and he did but he said he’d gone to several churches and did not feel like they were offering people anything they actually needed. I said this was not about if you want to commit to going to church this is if you want a relationship with God because your sins are forgiven and He lives inside you. So I explained the Christian life living “inside out”. I said if he’d want God inside giving him the power to live the Christian life there was a prayer he could pray. He said he’d prayed a prayer something like that at 3 different churches, some kind of prayer anyway. I said, “But you didn’t understand it before?” “Well, they never actually explained what it meant.” I thought later that would explain why you would keep praying a pray asking God for a relationship or some other vague Christianeze type thing. I’ve heard several sermons in just the last couple years offering people a heightened experience of some kind with God, raise your hand type moment. Once Christ had never been mentioned and two other times there was never any mention that they needed to trust that Jesus was God, had died for their sins and rose from the dead. It sadly does not surprise me at all he had prayed for something like this and never been saved on three different occasions. I said, “Would you like to pray with understanding now, so it would count?” He said he would and prayed out loud the prayer to receive Jesus. He was happy. I gave him 20 Things God Can’t Do and wrote his name and the date and “forgiven“ in the front and he thanked me. I gave him a Bible Study on the deity of Christ and he said he really had to run to a meeting. I said cool I would pray for him every night for the next year. “Thank you so much.” He said a couple times and shook my hand and we both headed out.

Armen was sitting in the hallway. He was dressed right out of 1969 and I told him his jeans were cool and reminded me of the 70’s. They were big bell bottoms almost out to the end of brown leather boots. The bottoms were cut off where they had 6 inch square button flap pockets sewed on the edge. He had an off white bell sleeve shirt on and a silver bracelet on his right wrist with a cool western style rectangular stone on top. He wore circular lenses, sunglasses, that he took off a bit later as we talked. He was a good looking guy with a kind of every which way mop of mostly straight hair that could have been Native American in color and a pointed chin I saw later. l asked if he’d like to do a survey for a Bible Study group. He asked about the Bible study and as I have been doing lately I gave him a flyer for the Biker Bible study I teach 3 of 4 times each month. Since we can’t get a study going this year at school. I asked if he’d like to answer just one big question and he said OK. So I asked what he would say to God if he died and was asked why should I let you into Heaven. “I could say I don’t know but I should just think about it,” He thought some and said, “I’ve done my best, seems kind of weak but I guess I’ll just say that.” I asked the likelihood he would get into Heaven and he said 15% saying he’d have to do more. So I asked if he would want to know what the Bible said was the answer to the question and he said, “Yeah.” So I went through the Gospel with him emphasizing all the things I always do particularly that he would not go to Heaven because he was good but because Jesus was good. I was interrupted by a guy at one point walking down the hall who did not like my face shield. I asked if he was a representative of the school and he claimed to be faculty. I began to offer an explanation my lawyer thinks is viable. Basically if someone can’t see your face you do not have free speech expression in communicating the Gospel. As an aside: There are no scientific studies showing a face mask is superior to a solid plastic shield. Or demonstrating the efficacy of either from the Doctor’s I have heard lecture on three separate occasions. Judy Mikovits, Lee Merritt and Richard Fleming. [They are each interviewed here: https://www.brighteon.com/channels/hrreport ] But I only got out the worlds, “My Lawyer…” and he threatened to call security on me. I said, “OK.” He stormed off and I finished explaining the Gospel to Armen who said he did not think the unidentified faculty was serious about calling security. But I said I thought he probably was. I asked if he wanted to be forgiven with God inside him and explaining how we are transformed on the inside and do good things and are transformed more and more as we go through life. “Like a chain reaction snow ball.” Armen put in. I agreed just like that. He wanted to be forgiven and when I walked him through the prayer he said, “It’s a place to begin,” and I agreed. He took the booklet and silently prayed to receive Jesus. I gave him “Bible Promises for You” writing his name and the date and “forgiven”. He thanked me. I gave him a Bible Study on the deity of Christ explaining a bit to him. And I gave him The Case for Christianity Answer Booklet. He was grateful and I got up from leaning on the wall beside him and told him I would pray for him every day for a year. He was grateful and I saw his face without his mask as I got up and he grinned at me and I headed out. I was at school another hour but was not approached by anyone else.

So thanks for your prayers for the ministry and for evangelism today if you had a chance. God truly blessed.

In Him,
Bob

Hey Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I hope ya had a great day walking with the Lord. I’m working through some stomach issues that knocked me out three days last week. But I was blessed on campus nonetheless as God’s strength is perfected in weakness. Travis and Jack each prayed with me to receive Jesus today. Each felt God was working today and I felt like their stories were divine appointments. Please pray their faith is blessed and they are given even faith in the future. If you feel like making time to read what happened it’s below.

Travis was the first guy I talked to on campus. I pulled into the first parking space and got into school quickly and he was sitting in a lounge around the first corner of the BIC building on the east end ground floor. He has a light blondish mop of wavy hair on top, real short cut on the sides. He wore a zip up runner’s jacket with two colors of light blue and faded blue jeans. He was tall when he stood over 6 feet and

Slim build with an oval face, kind of a baby face, good lookin’ kid. He told me he only had 10 minutes to answer questions before class began. When I asked him what he would say to God if asked “Why should I let you into Heaven” he said “You know everything I’ve done. I feel I’ve made the right choices. I’m not free of sin, but I’ve done more good than bad.” He said he felt like there was kind of a karmic balance of good and bad actions that got you into Heaven. He hung out with a lot of religious people but said he had never in his life been to church and that his boss was a strong Christian. He said he thought it was very likely he would get into Heaven. He said he felt like God had recently guided him out of a “crazy situation,” which turned out to be living with his atheist girl friend. He thought she was manipulating and controlling him and had a hold on him somehow. He finally decided to just grab all his stuff and get out. He said he’d prayed to get out and felt that was what God was leading him to do. It had left him interested in spiritual things in that moment. It seemed like he’d just gone through a catalytic moment in his life.  I went straight through the Gospel with him making my illustrations abrupt and to the point. I explained that the Blood of Christ on the cross had cleansed him so God could live inside him. God had to be paid with perfect things to fix what we had damaged in life but we could not pay so God paid Himself. I explained the righteousness of God to his credit (he liked that illustration of getting extra credit in a class) meant that he did not go to Heaven because he was good or had done enough good things, but because Jesus was good and was connected to him. I explained faith and asked him if he wanted to place his trust I that Jesus was God had died for his sins and rose from the dead to be forgiven. He emphatically said he did. I offered him the prayer talking him through it and said he could pray it silently then knowing he was forgiven. I asked if he wanted to do it and he thoughtfully said, “Yeah”. I began to go through the Christian life stuff and asked if he had a Bible, he said he’d been meaning to get one. I gave him one and showed him the Where to Turn” section which providentially opened right up to that page in back. I wrote his name and the date and “forgiven” in the front. I said he had my Email if he had any questions. I gave him 20 Things God Can’t Do saying everything in the Book and in the Christian life was “By the Spirit’s Power” writing that in the front and “Just Ask” on a couple chapter pages.  I gave him a Bible study and he had to run to class. He got up and was really happy saying, “I feel like I really needed this.” He shook my hand and pulled down his mask for me with a grin. I said I would pray for him for the next year each day and he happily headed off.

Jack was sitting in a row of chairs at the entrance to the tunnel leading to the PE building from the BIC. He had dark sandy red hair. I asked him if he wanted to answer some questions for a Bible Study group. “Tell me about the group,” he replied so I gave him a flyer for the Biker Bible study I have been teaching saying the one on campus had become complicated to get going due to Covid. I asked if he’d want to answer the one big question. He agreed and I got his name and asked, ‘You get hit by a bus and your dead and you stand before God and He asks, ‘Why should I let you into Heaven?’ What would you say?” “I don’t’ think anything you do is worthy,” he replied. “You’d have to hope in His forgiving nature. It’s up to Him to forgive me. You could repent but you’d never know if you repented enough.” I agreed that there were lists of bad things in the Bible that would send you to hell but no list of good things that if you did them all you could be sure you would be in Heaven. I said the Bible tells how to get to Heaven and asked if he would want to hear some verses. He said sure and I began to go through the Gospel with him. He stopped me and asked if I believed in signs or numbers in the Bible. I did and said Missler explained 7’s in the beginning of Matthew. (I later wrote the YouTube search he could do to find it). He said he had a story about 7’s and said I wanted to hear it but first let me tell you how you get to Heaven. He agreed and I explained everything as I had for Travis today.  When I had finished and I offered him the two options of choices, believing on Jesus and His saving work or something else I asked if he wanted to be forgiven for his sins. “I don’t know,” he replied. I asked, “Do you believe Jesus was God died for your sins and rose from the dead? Do you think that is true?” He said he did. But he did not believe you could be saved simply because you believed. You should also do good things. I explained that he was right that the evidence of a saved life would be seen but not because we tried to do good things but because the Holy Spirit had transformed us. I explained living “Inside out” where we asked God to transform us on the inside and we then would do good things on the outside as a natural expression of a transformed nature. The Bible talks about being made perfect but we would never be perfected in this life. I said if he wanted to have God living inside him to give him the strength to do good things He could place his trust in what Christ had done. Otherwise he’d be in danger of believing he had done good things himself without God and that might lead to pride. “Pride one the deadly sins,” he put in and I agreed. And I read again the verse from the booklet Ephesians 2:8&9. I said God would make things into Good that we had done, none of our actions could be perfect in themselves but he could make good outcomes from them because he controlled the future. I then quoted Romans 8:28 again to him. I asked if he would like to have God’s power on the inside and be forgiven and he said he would so I said if he did there was a prayer he could pray and I walked him through it and offered it to him saying he could pray it silently and God would hear. He took the booklet then and prayed to receive Christ saying, “Hmm” and nodding as he prayed. He then went on to tell me some of the times he had seen signs and he thought God was telling him He was watching over his life and leading some of his decisions. He had heard songs and then seen billboard ads reading 777 as he drove, saw it again for another casino, then got a 777 address delivering food for Door Dash. He said to himself, “If there are stone angels and religious statues in the yard, I will know God can give me signs and guide my life.” There were statues just like that when he arrived. Unfortunately he began seeing signs here and there and got kind of overcome with the concept. He started reading about it and got into meditation and took different drugs to try to see more things. This had led to some serious problems. But he became convinced it was evil at worst or at best he could not be sure what kind of spirit he was dealing with. I talked him through some of the issues. I encouraged him to learn and read Bible verses. I gave him 20 Things God Can’t Do writing his name and the date and forgiven on the inside. I encouraged him that now he was sealed by the Spirit [Eph 1:13], it was a one way door and he could claim the name of Christ and no other powers could touch him. He told me some stories where on one bad trip his cat told him he had failed God. I said all that was forgiven now and we talked a while. I then gave him the book Bible Promises for You so he could meditate on specific verses. I gave him The Case for Christianity Answer Booklet as we talked more about some issues and the Bible Study on the Deity of Christ. He thought that our speaking had been God’s leading and I agreed. He’d been waiting for his girlfriend to get out of class. She had marched by to go to the bathroom as we talked and seemed upset. Her class was about to get out. So I left him saying I would be praying for him each night. “I’ll be praying for you too,” he replied shaking my hand cheerfully. And I got up and headed out.

So thanks for your prayers for the ministry and for evangelism today if you had a chance. God blessed with two great conversations that lead to a prayer of faith.

In Him

Bob
